Not sure what you have found?

This guide lists common pests that affect homes, businesses, farms and other properties across Somerset and Devon.

Where a guide is available, the pest name will open a short page covering the signs, where the pest is usually found, what often causes the problem and how Guardian normally approaches it.

A photograph can help, but it does not always confirm the pest.

Many customers contact us because they have seen evidence of pest activity rather than the pest itself. Scratching sounds, droppings, damaged packaging, nests, smells or insect activity can often provide useful clues. If you are unsure, tell us what you have seen, heard or noticed and we will explain the most sensible next step.

If you are unsure, call us and speak directly to a pest professional.
